USBands Membership Bonus Benefits Defined

20181030-055A3439 copy.jpgSince the announcement of the new Bands-First Membership Program for USBands schools, there has been a good deal of excitement and enthusiasm for the packages based on the activity of the participating schools.

Beyond the discounted participation rates, there are also several extra special benefits for those schools who select the Basic Level and even more who choose the Prime Level. Here is a brief explanation of some of the additional benefits you’ll receive as a 2019 Member School at the corresponding level.

Votes on Policy Changes & Participant Guidebook on Annual Basis – These votes are important components of the Guidelines and Policies that govern USBands events excluding the competitive rules by which USBands events are adjudicated.

  • Chaperone Passes – A new feature for 2019, the Chaperone Pass is in addition to the credentials received for Directors, Instructors and Prop/Pit Personnel. Member bands will receive Chaperone Passes based on their Group size to help manage the group while at events.

    • Group 3 - 5
    • Group 4 - 7
    • Group 5 - 9
    • Group 6 - 12
  • Concert Registration Discount - 10% for each Concert Band Festival registration.
  • Indoor Registration Discount - 10% for each indoor percussion and/or color guard registration.
  • Music is Cool Clinic Discount - $20 per student registration in the daylong clinic and workshop with The Cadets on July 2 in MetLife Stadium and July 30 in Annapolis, MD.
  • Two Free Tickets - two free tickets any one USBands hosted DCI event in 2019. Includes Allentown, PA on June 28, MetLife Stadium on July 2, Annapolis, MD on July 30 an Chester, PA on July 31. Discounts on more than two tickets to each event or additional events.
  • First Access and Discounts -  Lightly Used Yamaha Instruments before the instruments are made available to other non-USBands member high school music programs.
  • Complimentary Director License for Ultimate Drill Book and Discount on Ultimate Drill Book for students - Ultimate Drill Book (UDB) will provide each ensemble with one complimentary copy of UDBapp for free for directors for the 2019-2020 season. UDB has revolutionized the marching activity with educational tools for teaching and learning drill for drum corps, marching bands, indoor drum lines, and color guards. Each band that purchases UDBapp will have an exclusive 10% discount applied when signing up for the 2019-2020 season.   • One free upload to eAdjudicate Cr1+1que - You can have your band’s program evaluated by an anonymous USBands Adjudicator as part of this complimentary Membership Benefit (a $36 value). Directors can upload videos to a private YouTube Channel between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1 and the Director will have their choice of caption (music/visual) and receive their commentary within 72 hours.
  • ULearn Course 100 - you will develop a fundamental understanding of the role, ethics, and professional expectations of the adjudicator, along with the judging process as a whole, and the basic skills required. This will assist you in understanding how your ensemble is adjudicated and what standards are to be expected from judges.  Be in the "know" for yourself, your ensemble and the greater good of the competitive community.
  • Extra Credentials - five additional ensemble staff passes
  • Prime Access - Early access to event registration for the 2020 Fall Marching Band Season and Concert & Indoor events.
  • Withdrawal Forgiveness - applicable for one USBands Premiere Events in 2019.
